The Bike Shenandoah start and finish at Eastern Mennonite School.

Special thanks to all who made our 16th annual Bike Shenandoah event on September 21 a success!

In spite of clouds and threatening rain nearly 100 riders successfully completed the century, metric century, 30 mile, 15 mile and 5 mile rides through the lovely Shenandoah Valley’s natural beauty.

Regretfully, the rain did arrive at the end of the day. The final two came in drenched but with smiles on their faces, happy to have ridden their first 100 mile ride.

Due to riders’ increased efforts to recruit sponsors and the generosity of business sponsors, the ride generated approximately $4,000 in additional income from last year for a total of over $20,000.

Thank you to all who have supported and participated in the Bike Shenandoah ride for service that each year benefits Mennonite Central Committee, Virginia Mennonite Missions, MennoMedia, and this year, Bridge of Hope, a local agency that assists homeless mothers and their children acquire stability and security.
